Cleanliness

As early as1993, SGD was the first glass-maker equipped with controlled atmosphere rooms of class 100 000/ISO 8. Covering nearly 10,000 m2, the clean rooms receive the bottles when they emerge from the annealing arches. The bottles are examined automatically and seal packed in an overpressure atmosphere where the air quality is perfectly controlled.

Staff and materials enter and leave the area via a sas airlock. The staff is specially trained and equipped.

Stringent controls are carried out on dust contamination of the rooms and the bacteriological quality of the bottles.
