Sucy-en-Brie plant celebrated the first furnace lighting ceremony in 10 years

Sucy-en-Brie plant celebrated the first furnace lighting ceremony in 10 years – the result of weeks of hard work modernizing the furnace as part of SGD Pharma’s Sucy Pharma 2025 project.

Christophe Nicoli, CEO, Christophe Muguet, COO & Grégory DECOSTER, plant director - opened the furnace lighting ceremony with an address to the Sucy project workers, congratulating their hard work and recognizing this landmark moment in SGD Pharma’s continuous investment in upgrading its manufacturing capabilities to better serve its global customers.

"To mark the completion of this significant milestone in our major Sucy Pharma 2025 transformation project, I am honoured to share that our fantastic team lit the new furnace at our biggest plant Sucy-en-Brie. Sucy is our most impacting plant in terms of Pharma vials supply in the World and SGD Pharma is currently investing heavily to raise the bar towards the most demanding drugs. In the ceremony, Bruno Faure and Isabelle Jouan Malecot took on the important role of passing the flame to god-mother Fulda Karaasalan and god-father Adrian Crenn who, in keeping with tradition, then completed the ceremony by lighting up Sucy’s furnace N°2. These improvements are part of our company-wide commitment to continuously refining the quality of our glass primary packaging for customers’ valuable therapeutic products and bring our Sucy-en-Brie plant closer to achieving status as the highest industry standard so we can best service our customers"
